the airport:
The nearest airport is Peretola airport in Florence.
From here you can get to the main railway station in Florence
or the A1 Bologna-Rome motorway entering at junction
Firenze Nord in the direction of Rome. |

From the
railway station:
The nearest railway stations are the one in S.
Giovanni Valdarno (tel. 055/9122208) and the one
in Montevarchi (tel. 055/980257). Both are only
a few kilometres from Caviglia and bus services
link them both to the main city and to smaller
towns in the region. |

From the
motorway:
The municipality of Caviglia can be reached by
car from Florence and Arezzo on the A1 Motorway,
Valdarno exit (approximately 10 km) and Incisa
exit (approximately 20 km). Caviglia can be reached
from Siena via the SS 408 which runs through the
Chianti valley, touching the region’s main city
and extending as far as the Valdarno valley at
Montevarchi through countryside of incomparable
beauty. |

| The
road to follow once you leave the motorway |

Take the
A1 motorway as far as the Valdarno exit, which
is halfway between Florence and Arezzo. After
the Valdarno exit turn right towards Montevarchi.
Continue in the same direction as far as a roundabout,
follow the sign for Siena (SS 401) – Caviglia;
take the underpass and continue for approximately
4 km. After the “Pitena” Restaurant, follow the
sign “Siena 37”, drive for about 3 Km and turn
right into “via MONTERIONE”. Go down the hill
and turn left (one way only) into “via ROMA” and
then right again into “via BURZAGLI”.
After approximately 100 m take the second turn
to the right and continue to the end of the road
where you will find the entrance to the property
(no. 16). |
